Pronovias Preview

We are a very proud stockist of Pronovias wedding dresses. They are a global brand worn by brides all over the world and being able to offer their amazing collection to women in East Yorkshire is just amazing!

Once a year we get invited to Barcelona (their birthplace and head office!) to preview the new collection and it was so exciting to see what trends and styles are coming our way in 2017/2018. Even though it was chilly in Barcelona we can’t lie that the blue sky and bright sunshine was a welcomed treat.

We arrived on Sunday evening and saw the collection on the catwalk. The atmosphere was incredible, the models were out of this world and the Pronovias dresses did not disappoint! On Monday we saw a close up of the dresses; the fabrics, the detail, the beading and lace finishes were all immaculate. Once again Pronovias have designed a collection with classic styles and silhouettes but with modern detail and finishes, making them truly unforgettable.

So here is what you can expect from Pronovias in the coming season:

Capes – yes you heard me right… these are big news for the future! They create mega trains on top of your dress and most are removable or detachable.

Slits – again, who knew a slit in a wedding dress can work! Well it can, and we saw side splits and middle splits on crepe, lace and chiffon. This gives a modern twist to traditional dresses.

Detachable skirts – so many brides are torn when choosing a dress as they want a big traditional skirt for their ceremony and a slimmer fitting dress for the evening. Well, the dilemma is over, we saw so many detachable skirts, they are the best idea yet!

In a roundup of all other trends we saw beading, beading and more beading, its delicate and a lovely alternative to lace. Cold shoulders, again who knew this fashion forward statement shoulder could break through into bridal but it looks amazing! Long sleeves, they’ve been around for a while but a full crepe sleeve is a bold statement that works for the new season.

We are so excited to receive the new dresses into store and you can look forward to trying them on around Autumn 2017. Prices start from £1300 and go up to £2200
