Here we are at the beginning of a new chapter for Bride & Co, so we thought we’d start as we mean to go and begin our blog.
We opened 4 years ago and it has been a whirlwind. We’ve seen hundreds of brides and have been on so many journeys; through wedding plans, last minute dramas, weather forecasts, hen parties and dress fittings and we've enjoyed every single minute.
We had the best 4 years on Princes Avenue but the direction of the shop naturally changed and we made the decision to move to Willerby Manor Hotel. In October, we packed up all of our things and said goodbye to 17 Princes Avenue. It was really quite emotional, we had so many great memories in the old shop but it just felt the right time to move.
We got our painting clothes on and brushed out and put a little bit of love into the new shop. It is so cute and just feels like home for us. We’ve had great feedback from everyone on the new location and home for Bride & Co. There is plenty of parking for everyone and you can make a day of dress shopping and have lunch or a coffee in the gorgeous café inside the hotel.
We’d like to say a massive thank you to Andy @ ACN Electrical and Dan @ DPS Joinery for all of their time helping us with the heavy, hands on jobs (that we don’t have a clue about!). To Sarah @ The Floral Lounge for the most amazing floral display in our window. To our mums who helped clean, tidy and paint for us. Plus, as always our husbands Rob and Ross who are always so supportive of everything we do.
Over the last few months we’ve been on a mission to get this new chapter up and running. As well as moving into the new shop we’ve also took on 4 new designers; Pronovias, Ronald Joyce, Nicole Spose and Lillian West. These new designers were chosen by us to fully complement our existing labels Ellis and Sincerity. So there we go, the journey continues for Bride & Co and we are so excited to continue onwards and upwards into 2017.
